Frequently Asked Questions
IV therapy is a method to quickly administer fluids, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream. By going directly into the bloodstream, your body can absorb 100% of the vitamins. When taken orally vitamins are 20% absorbed due to the digestive tract. Our services are meant to act as supplements to aid our clients in meeting their health goals.
Our vitamins are sourced from 503A & 503B pharmacies and have undergone rigorous testing. All IVs are administered by our experienced Licensed Nurses and are performed under a Medical Director. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated to ensure the chosen drip is safe, effective, and does not interact with current medications or health conditions.
The entire process, from start to finish, can take up to 60-90 minutes. After signing consent forms and a quick medical assessment, an IV is placed by our experienced Licensed Nurses. Factors such as anatomy, IV placement, and client movement after the IV is placed can affect drip rates. During the infusion, this is your time to get comfortable, relax, take a nap, read, or listen to music.
Typically, you will feel the effects the same day of treatment. Full absorption of the vitamins administered can take up to 24 hours. Some infusions are designed for long-term benefits and may not give you an immediate boost but will support your system and nutrient needs over time.
Side effects are generally non-existent or very mild. True allergic reactions are extremely rare. However, if you experience throat swelling, rash, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following your IV Drip or IM injection, please seek medical attention immediately. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients, please alert our staff and avoid it!
The most common complication of IV vitamin infusion therapy can be bruising at the IV insertion site after the infusion. Bruising should resolve on its own within a few days. Infiltration at the IV site can also occur, but this is rare as we strive to use best practices when inserting IVs and continuously monitor the site during the infusion.
The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a client-by-client basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs and goals. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend two IV drips per month.
